Katie Wagner majored in Biology at the University of Texas at Austin, will also be receiving a Business Certificate and loves to travel…

Katie was encouraged to travel overseas by her mom…and she makes every opportunity to do so.  She lived in Barcelona, Spain for six months on a cultural exchange program and traveled through Europe as well.

Katie pays for her own education, but she did not let that become an obstacle for her desire to travel nor participate in the Next Step Connections internship program in Bangkok, Thailand.  It was her first time traveling alone and it lived up to all of her expectations.

As the Senior Peer Advisor at the International Office of the University of Texas at Austin, she  encourages students to overcome their own obstacles or misgivings and definitely do an internship abroad.
